How many of you have struggled to find a quality boot that is fashionable and fits your calf? It is a frustration I have heard over and over…well, no more! Bennetts Boots is here to fill the void that has plagued your wardrobe for too long. Bennetts Boots is a company based in Australia and was founded in 2007 by Amanda Bennetts who was tired of being frustrated! She just couldn’t find a quality boot that fit right.
The company solely specializes in leather wide calf boots ranging in price from $169 to $450. The sizes they carry are 36-43 (6-10.5 US) with 3 different calf widths per shoe size.
I would say one of the most refreshing features of the Bennetts Boots collection is the fact that they are so trendy and fashionable. You won’t be stuck wearing old, boring boots! Amanda has really succeeded in filling a void in the footwear market with a product line that is very young, hip, and fashionable with superb quality!

I just got my Bennetts Boots which I had been eagerly anticipating!
I was dying for a pair of boots this past winter and was really disappointed that every boot I even remotely liked, featured a 4″ heel or higher and made me feel like I was punishing my calves by squishing them into a vice! I’m 5’11″ so I’m usually taller than everyone else around me. The extra few inches added from a great pair of heels has never really bothered me, but this time I opted for a nice flat boot that would go with everything. I got the Louvre Boot in brown. Not too “chocolaty” but rather a nice, warm brown that’s very versatile. First off, the excitement of receiving the big, blue box was pretty exhilarating. I ripped off the top and found my two works of art nestled in tissue, each wrapped in their own protective cloth bag. And the smell! The genuine fine leather just smells so good. I’m a pretty frugal fashionista so there was something very satisfying about slipping on these quality boots.
I ordered according to the sizing chart on the website and was not disappointed. No tugging or struggling or even breaking out a pair of pliers to zip these bad boys up! The zipper glided up unhindered for a perfect fit around the calf, no bulging or suffocation of my legs. I was also pleased with the actual fit on the foot. I can wear anything from 10 to 11 and figured 10.5 would be a happy medium. The boots are roomy enough for a cozy pair of socks but not so spacious that my foot slides around. There isn’t any pressure along the upper foot like I’ve become accustomed to feeling when wearing more mainstream boot brands either. They also have this great lining that is odor-reducing and sweat-wicking so I’ll never feel like I’ve lost a layer of skin as I peel the boots off after a long day. I usually run a couple degrees hotter than the norm to begin with so I’m happy to report that I didn’t even notice a jump in temperature like I feared I might. I wore them out for the first time on a marathon tourist trip down Hollywood Blvd with a night of dinner and dancing. I’m a hairstylist by trade so I’m used to being on my feet, but I do try to treat them well. I could wear these all day in the shop and not have any problems, they’re super comfy!
As far as looks go, these boots are pretty amazing. I already mentioned the brown is a great shade that’s pretty versatile, but also, the stitching and detail work are lovely as well. There’s a little band detail across the front top of the foot that helps to break up the monotony that could be caused by a large-sized foot like mine. My favorite detail is the little dip at the top of the boot on each side! I think it really echoes the curve of my calf rather that just cutting it off and making me look stubby. I can tell you that I feel stunning AND feminine in these gorgeous boots and look forward to wearing them as often as I can!
